The Smart Mobility Summit

What is it?

Smart Mobility Summit is a unique event that brings together the full spectrum of stakeholders working in the communications industry today. WiFi, LTE/4G, HetNets, 5G, HALO, ZigBee, and many other technologies, provide the evolving mix of connectivity technologies that will provide the essential links in the networks of tomorrow. Instead of treating each separately, our event brings it all together so that you can see the big picture.

Our delegates want an event that informs and educates, and keeps their fingers on the pulse of the technological advances and business model transformations that are driving our industry. They need to make the right choices, so that they can develop the best strategy to deliver connectivity and applications that drive the next generation of smart mobile applications and use cases. That’s what Smart Mobility Summit is all about.

Who's it for?

Technology companies, carriers, network enablers and operators, connectivity providers, application developers, service providers (event venues, retailers, advertisers, etc.) – essentially, anyone involved in delivering and enabling the infrastructure and applications that will drive the next generation of smart mobile technologies and services.

Why should I attend?

Smart Mobility Summit provides a platform that enables genuine networking, interaction and the exchange of ideas between the growing diversity of stakeholders in the evolving communications industry. It does not ‘beat the drum’ for a specific technology, rather it encourages productive collaboration and open debate.

Smart Mobility Summit aims to bring the industry together and provide a platform that encourages genuine debate and the open exchange of ideas in order to drive the connectivity technologies and applications of today… and tomorrow. If you expect to be a part of the communications industry of the future, then Smart Mobility Summit is the only place to be!

Agenda

We’ll be exploring key themes that are driving our industry, such as:

Smart Cities and
Citizen Engagement

How are cities evolving the meet the needs of citizens and business? How can mobile deliver applications that unlock new capabilities to provide information, enhance infrastructure and power citizen engagement?

The HetNet
Conundrum

What mix of wireless technologies is required to deliver optimised connectivity to support the next generation of mobile networks? How can providers ensure seamless coverage to reach their users and support an increasingly diverse mix of services and devices?

Security
and Privacy

In the mobile world, security remains paramount. How can users protect their data and ensure they stay safe while enjoying the benefits of new applications? What can different stakeholders to do to meet regulatory requirements and deliver the protection users and applications need?

WiFi

Carrier strategy has evolved to encompass WiFi and a range of different wireless access media. They are delivering services that must work across different connectivity. What’s the role of WiFi in the carrier portfolio, now and in the future as we move towards 5G?

5G

The move towards 5G is being driven by mass adoption and the scale of opportunity offered by connected devices and ‘things’. But which applications will drive 5G adoption? And what are the challenges and opportunities as we move towards a 5G world?
